Taking It To The People Ministries

Welcome to First United Methodist Church of Fort Dodge, Iowa.  We hope your visit with us will be helpful and informative.  If you have questions, please contact us.  We are always pleased when we hear from visitors or members alike. If you are new to our community and searching for a church home we would be happy to visit with you.

This Week                     This Month                      Things to Do

Join Us In Worship at 10 AM Each Sunday

It is with great pleasure that I begin to call this church my home. My wife, Rev. Linda, who will be serving
as the pastor of Asbury United Methodist in Webster City, joins me in giving greetings to all who
read these pages with sincere hope that we will become friends with you over the years we are together.
We are partially moved into the parsonage and looking forward to walks along the trail at the bottom of the hill.
Walking up and down the hill may be another matter, but...
Our move here from our second home will be July 15th. Rev. Linda served at Salem UMC in Cedar Rapids,
while I served at Dike UMC. Much of her church was lost in the flooding, but our home was spared.
Our task is now to merge two into one and the husband/wife decisions about what stays and what goes.
We're doing well!
I'll start full time in the office and on the streets of Fort Dodge on June 30th. I hope we go through
a lot of coffee in those first days. That's an open invitation to stop by and interrupt me,
let's have a sit with a cup of coffee.
 - Rev. Steve
Reverend Stephen Bibb will offer communion on July 6th
and conduct the full worship service on July 13th.
