Confirmation represents the fulfillment of commitments: the commitment that the
parents made at the time of their child's baptism, the commitment that the
youth makes to his or her church family, and the commitment
that the church congregation makes to each youth to work together
to practice the teachings of Jesus Christ and to spread to word of God.
Confirmation is a serious commitment for all involved. Please joyfully
welcome these newest members into our congregation and continue
to guide them in their spiritual journey.

THE LORD'S CUPBOARD. Our urgent needs are: Grape Jelly (16 oz., Pork and Beans, Chili Beans, Mixed Vegetables As always, there is a great need for staples. Items may be placed in the shopping cart in Wesley Parlor or brought to the church office. The Lord’s Cupboard deeply appreciates all the donations you make.

Our service is broadcast over Radio Station KVFD beginning at 11:05 am on Sunday morning.   The 10:00 am service is recorded for playback at that time. We could use volunteers who can make themselves available to push the "record", "stop" and "play" buttons on the recorder. If you are interested leave a message for Scott at the church office. He'll contact you.

WE HAVE some members at Friendship Haven who no longer drive and want to be with us in worship each Sunday. Drivers are needed EVERY Sunday for the church bus. Consider taking a turn. Sign up on the usher cabinet or call the church office at 515-576-7586 or e-mail us.

A NOTE OF SPECIAL IMPORTANCE. Please contact the Church Office via E-mail or by calling 515.576.7586 when you, a member of your family or anyone else that we may wish to be aware of is admitted to a hospital. In this way our pastor may extend a visit when calling at the Hospital. In this same way, your pastor would appreciate your help in identifying our members residing in local nursing facilities. Please contact the Church Office with that information so we may insure our listings are complete in every way. Your help is a vital link in helping in these important pastoral ministries.

REVEREND Haverland wants you to be aware of his office hours. While he may be called away from time to time, he wants to be available to you. His general schedule is:

                                   8:30 am until 4:30 pm weekdays.

If you wish an appointment, he would appreciate a call to the office to arrange a specific time.

WONDERING ABOUT A FRIEND'S BIRTH DATE or ANNIVERSARY? We've listed the birth dates of our church family members. This is a great way to thoughtfully remember friends in our church family, by sending a card of greeting on their "special day." Check the CHIMES - it's there.
