The
people of First United Methodist Church of Fort Dodge, as well as the
state, national, and world United Methodist organizations recognize the
spiritual and humanitarian influence that our church has throughout the
world. Through the payment of our annual apportionments, First United
Methodist Church in Fort Dodge makes a commitment with our brothers and
sisters in Christ to provide hope and faith to those in need.
In addition to those projects in the state and beyond that our
conference supports, the people of First Church are also committed
collectively and individually in offering additional support to a series
of local and state projects, as well as the worldwide efforts of United
Methodist missionaries, the
General Board of Global Ministries, and the
United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), which remains one of
the highest-rated charitable non-profit organizations in the
nation. Because it is operated under the management of the United
Methodist Church, 100% of contributions to
UMCOR go directly to
the purpose for which the are intended. Click
